In 2019, Google added the new extension menu in Chrome which basically holds all of your installed extensions in a single list. This proved to be useful especially for users like me who use a ton of chrome extensions to access all at fingertips. And of course, identifying each extension by its icon isn’t as easy.
However, it’s not always that easy to access these extensions since you have to scroll through a list to find the one you need. So, there’s a way by which you can pin the extension in the toolbar of chrome easily. This way you can pin them and directly access them with a click. Here’s how you can do it.
Process to Pin Extensions in Chrome
- Launch Google Chrome.
- On the top right of the window, click on the little jigsaw icon you see
- This will list all the extensions you have installed.
- For any extension, you want to pin, click on the pin icon right next to it.
- The pin icon will turn blue and you can see it has been pinned on Chrome’s toolbar.
- To unpin, you can again icon on that same pin icon.
- In the toolbar, you can also drag the icon in the order that you want.
And there you go! You will find your favorite extension right where it used to be before. It’s much easier to access them now, only with a single click. You can do it on both Windows as well your macOS devices. Share this article with your friends and family if you found it useful.
Additional Tip: I would suggest you use this feature only for a few extensions that you use the most, otherwise, it can get messy and confusing. Order them accordingly and make sure you don’t end up pinning the extensions you don’t use.
